Marnée’s Studio successfully completes Festival of Flowers display for Bellingrath Gardens

bellingrath gardens commissions jobs sculptures

I created a total of 31 character sculptures based on Dr. Seuss’ “The Lorax” for the Bellingrath Gardens display in the 2017 Festival of Flowers.  I also painted a 16′ structure (cut by the Bellingrath design team) to re-create the Once-Ler house from the story.

Aside from some minor issues with the fish sculptures (that were partially exposed to dyed water in the pond), the display was extremely popular and met with positive feedback from the public.  The Bellingrath team expertly arranged the plants in the display and created the truffula trees.

This was such a wonderful project with amazing people!!!  I want to thank my husband for holding down the fort throughout this project, everyone at Bellingrath Gardens, all my friends and family who came to show their support, Julie Andel Photography for taking great pictures as always, and all of the wonderful people I met at the Festival of Flowers.
