Fearless Florals Workshop with Lisa Hancock 10-4pm
Have fun and learn to fearlessly experiment with watercolor florals! During the first half of the workshop, students will learn basic color theory and watercolor techniques. We will break for lunch from 12:00 – 1:00 pm. After lunch, students will then apply the skills learned to a floral still life composition for the remainder of the workshop.
A workshop is an opportunity that offers everyone the space to experiment, HAVE FUN, make mistakes, learn and play. No matter what your level, experienced to beginner, there is always something new to learn. It is helpful if the student has a basic understanding of drawing techniques and composition, but not necessary.
Students will leave with their own painting created in class, as well as information on resource materials and supplies. All equipment and supplies are provided. Over the course of the workshop, students will utilize various techniques, processes including: working wet into wet, dry brush, working on pre-moistened paper, using mixed materials (such as sea salt and paper towels) to create texture with watercolor, spattering technique, lifting and basic care of materials.
